Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using verdant-birch.tech (the "Website") and enrolling in our programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

Educational Services

verdant-birch.tech provides strategic thinking education programs inspired by chess principles. Our services include:

  • Online and live educational sessions
  • Access to learning materials and resources
  • Mentorship and coaching services
  • Community discussion forums

These services are provided for educational and professional development purposes only.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to enroll in our programs. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms of Use.

Account Registration and Enrollment

When you enroll in a program, you agree to:

  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

Program Fees and Payment

All program fees are stated in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and must be paid in full before program access is granted, unless alternative payment arrangements have been agreed upon in writing.

Payment Terms

  • Payment is processed through secure third-party payment processors
  • All fees are non-refundable except as stated in our Refund Policy
  • We reserve the right to modify program pricing with 30 days notice
  • Price changes do not affect enrolled participants

Refund Policy

Refunds may be requested within 14 days of enrollment if you have not accessed more than 20% of the program content. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. Processing may take 10-15 business days.

Intellectual Property Rights

All content provided through our programs, including but not limited to text, graphics, videos, audio, software, and course materials, is the intellectual property of verdant-birch.tech or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use program materials solely for your personal educational purposes. You may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or publicly display materials
  • Create derivative works from our content
  • Share access credentials with others
  • Use materials for commercial purposes
  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices
  • Record, screenshot, or copy session content without permission

User Conduct

You agree to use our services responsibly and professionally. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Harassing, threatening, or abusing other participants or staff
  • Sharing inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems
  • Interfering with the proper functioning of services

Violation of these conduct standards may result in immediate suspension or termination of access without refund.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, verdant-birch.tech and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
  • Decisions made based on program content
  • Technical issues, service interruptions, or data loss
  • Actions of other participants or third parties

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific program giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless verdant-birch.tech and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of our services
  • Your violation of these Terms of Use
  • Your violation of any rights of third parties
